Hmm, so does the waitlist generally move after March 26 right away? Do the Ontario admissions decisions (May 15) affect the waitlists in any way (i.e. more movement after May 15?)

 

Last year someone called and found out it takes an additional week after March 26th to get the deposit info from student accounts. Therefore another week before they could gauge how many spaces were open to move the WL. It did move last year bc of people who were accepted to McGill or US schools that they preferred.

 

 

 

Has anyone who emailed to secure their spot on the waitlist received a response?

We won't be receiving any confirmation from them, but I did email both Tracy and medicine.admissions@dal.ca just in case.

Naw I haven't, other than the confirmation page for receipt of payment! Is sending the money all we have to do?

I suppose staying motivated to finish the last four weeks of class is important too haha.

Gosh I hope so, I like the don't panic guide but I want even more information!

do we have any idea when the new Don't Panic guide will come out? not having a confirmation of the deposit or any other information is making me nervous!

I don't think it comes out for awhile. Last year they didn't get it until the end of June if I remember correctly

I have only recieved an "online payment notification" from Student Accounts, directly after making my deposit. Is that the same for everyone else?

Yup, same. I was told that after the deadline (yesterday) student accounts will send the admission committee a list of who has paid and they will then send out their own confirmation to us in the first week of April.
