grindsmygears Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 I just got home from a 14 hour day at a job where I don't get paid for overtime (salaries aren't all they are cracked up to be -- even in the corporate world). They tell us we get our hours back, but when I asked for today off in lieu of my overtime today, my boss told me that I have to count it as a personal day (I only get 2 a year -- i.e. slap in the face). If I get into med school, I am going to take all my sick days, all my vacation, and my 1 extra personal day, and then just wait for them to fire me ..lol I know I'll never do it, I would feel like I'm letting other people down who need me there. medschool couldn't come at a more opportune moment. best of luck to everyone!
