Agree about the pagers, like seriously...

 

However, if a switch to text occurs, the I think the floor is going to get even less patient waiting for responses.

 

The lack of standardized records is shameful. As is how poorly things like electronic ordering has been implemented.

It is amazing how much faxes are still relied upon. Although there are more and more advances in online referrals and the like. I know that groups like Doximity (in the US) and The Rounds (in Canada) are working on solutions for this but certainly a long way to go for small use, let alone broad adoption.

 

I wonder how services like FirstOpinionApp.com that let you text a doctor will change things, if at all.
