weenston
Must be quite competitive this year. I got the invite last year when they were first sent out. I ended up pretty high on waitlist after interviews too. We can only hope a large number of people will decline the interview... good luck everyone. cocibear
Does anyone know if McGill looks at cGPA or subGPA?
nebras66
For the QY program they evaluate the cGPA. "Cumulative Grade Point Average (cGPA) – The cGPA is calculated separately for your undergraduate degree and, if applicable, post-graduate courses or degree. Grades from different universities are converted to a common scale with a maximum of 4.0'" http://www.mcgill.ca/spot/sites/mcgill.ca.spot/files/pt_qy_applicants-evaluation_process_2013.pdf

erebakish
Does anyone know how McGill converts GPAs? Is there a conversion table for ontario schools? I go yo York if anyone knows how our grades are converted
nebras66
http://www.ouac.on.ca/docs/orpas/c_orpas_b.pdf You will find the OUAC conversion table with McGill conversion system. Cheers.

Does that table allow inter-university conversion though? I thought it was just x university->4.0 scale. The York->McGill conversion would be confusing once you get above an A...is an A at York converted to an A+ at McGill?
lulululu
there's no A+ at mcgill, maximum is A in the table york U uses column 9 and mcgill uses column 8 so A and A+ at york are converted to A at mcgill, the rest is about the same. alicelee
Thank you jj123. It was an exciting experience yesterday. No matter what the final result is, I quite enjoyed the process. BTW, I find it is really helpful to join a Toastmaster club where we can practice our speaking skill, especially how to think on our feet.
alicelee
Hi everyone, I saw McGill QYOT has sent out offers. Has anyone received offer from QYPT? Very nervous now.
FreddyHeff
Has anyone heard back from McGill for QYPT yet? I know that some people on waiting lists for the PT program at Sherbrooke, Montreal and Laval are very nervous (the list may move as soon as McGill sends their admissions).. Thanks Good luck everyone...
laundrybasket14
I received an email granting me acceptance to PT QY on Monday May 26 around 4pm, then on Monday June 2 my uApply status updated to "Accepted". Not very many people have joined the FB group, however (under 20 total for both OT and PT combined), so maybe they're doing some kind of bizarre rolling admission? I'd email or call and ask, given that you haven't been rejected nor have you been accepted. Good luck!
