iluvexcel
So I'm a third year applicant and I want to apply this cycle because I think i have a competitive GPA (3.94) and I've been scoring ~80-85% on the old AAMC tests, so I'm hoping that means I can get 129 on test day. However, I think I'll only have one solid letter of reference this cycle, with my other too being from people who haven't known me that long. Is that a big deal for applying to Mac? I don't think I'll be competitive for UofT or Queens based on my ECs.
bearded frog
LORs are required and reviewed, beyond that they do not specify how they are used.
Edict
I don't believe its a big deal at Mac. They likely look for red flags but don't care beyond that. The formula is the most important thing.
Hopeful2017
Similar to what Edict mentioned, I was told at the open house (by a then-current student) last year that LORs are only considered for the purpose of identifying red flags and eliminating applicants post-interview. Premed_Girl
Do you know where I can get the old AAMC tests? is there anywhere I can buy them from? How are you practicing from the old AAMC tests?
Reastat
I heard that they aren't really used at Mac?
