  1. For those who have the credentialing ongoing. In the schedule of requirements it has Evidence of Completion: New Member Orientation. Does anyone actually have access to this in their learning portal? It tells me I can't register for it myself.
  2. Time Stamp: 8:03 AM Accepted/Waitlisted/Regrets: Accepted! GPA: 3.56 (H.BSc. Biomed) + 0.2 MSc. ECs: Premed Club president for several years, Big brothers and Sisters, hospital, cancer center, on the managing team of non-profit in Toronto, tutoring, science talks to the public, lifeguarding, 3 publications Decision (will you accept your offer)? Yes Campus: Sudbury Attempt #5- Persistence is key
  3. It's great to hear all of these success stories but I was wondering if once you got into medical school and started classes and placements was it everything you expected or was it underwhelming and not worth all the effort? Just wondering myself if I should continue pursuing medicine. I've been interviewed only at one school (NOSM) with a cGPA of 3.53(because my father passed away 1st year). I've interviewed 3 times and was never waitlisted, i believe this is because of my GPA. I started my masters in January and am hoping to finish by next September. I will reapply then. But I'm just wondering if the end goal is really as sweet as you think? If it is I will continue to apply until I get in, but if not I will pursue other avenues. Thank you
  4. I know a few people now who did their 1st undergraduate degree in Biomed and then their second in Psychology. They definitely did better but what can you do with that if you don't get into medical school? My advice to you is to do something that will lead to a career and that you enjoy. Example: dietician, genetic counselor, physician assistant and nursing which you mentioned. Don't just take something to boost your grades because those people I know that did a 2nd degree still aren't in medical school. I wish I would've done that but now I'm in an MSc that won't lead to much for me, I may have to redo all my education, who knows. Just think about it first.
  5. Regrets Gpa: 3.55cGPA; 3.81 wGPA (Biomed at Laurentian 2013) ECs: Life guard, Big Sisters, Club president 2 years, Research experience + publication, hospital and cancer center volunteering, shadowing doctor, etc. Trad or Non-trad?: Traditional This was my third time applying, interviewed 3 times and I didn't get on the waitlist once. I am currently doing my masters at U of T. I am terribly discouraged. Sincerely, A NOSM hopeful
