Australian Dental School

University of Melbourne – Doctor of Dental Surgery:
  • No minimum GPA or DAT requirements
  • Strict prerequisites in human anatomy, physiology and biochemistry to be eligible to apply
  • DAT taken from January 2017 to July 2019 to be considered
  • wGPA calculated from final 3 years of your most recent undergraduate degree, with a 3-2-1 GPA weighting, meaning the majority of your GPA is based on your last two years within your degree. 
  • Final ranking based on wGPA (50%) and DAT (50%), and for the 2018 intake, the starting point of a competitive application was around a wGPA of 3.5/4.0 (80%+) and a DAT average of 20-21.
  • The application deadline was July 30th, 2018. 
University of Sydney – Doctor of Dental Medicine: 
  • Minimum cGPA of 5.0/7.0 (roughly 2.7/4, or 70% or B-) from any bachelor’s degree completed within the past 10 years
  • Basic human biology prerequisite (any course involving cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or genetics)
  • Minimum score of 15 on all DAT subsections for a set of results to be considered
  • Only posted requirements for MCAT: Minimum overall score of 500 
  • DAT taken from February 2017 to June 2019 to be considered
  • DAT average of 19.75 or higher to be invited to interview (from RC, Bio, Chem & PAT sections + Org Chem & QR on ADA DAT)
  • Final ranking based on interview outcome (50%) and DAT scores (50%) - not GPA
  • The application deadline was June 20th, 2018
 

University of Western Australia  Doctor of Dental Medicine:

  • Minimum cGPA of 5.5/7.0 (roughly 3.1/4 or B+) from last 3 years of your completed bachelor’s degree 
  • DAT, GAMSAT or MCAT from the past 2 years 
  • MCAT Requirements: 123 in all sections + minimum overall score of 492. 
  • DAT Requirements: Minimum DAT requirement is 16 in each section, however, due to the competitive nature of applicants for the 2019 intake, the university was required to increase the minimum to 17. Based on 2018 intake, a competitive DAT average for an offer was about 20-21
  • In-person interview: will be held in Canada (Toronto & Vancouver)), as well as in Perth, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong 
  • Recommended courses include Physics to year 12, Chemistry to 1st year of University ( inc. year 12), Biology to 1st year of University
  • The application deadline is May 30, 2019.

western Australia didn't talk about DAT minimum in their website at all.but other information are right
