Mangomuch
Hey everyone, I got an odd situation here and would love some help. So I completed my MSc Thesis a year ago, and I am currently in a PhD program. (I won't be finishing this program by June 2021) Would I qualify as a graduate applicant since I already finished my MSc? When I sent an email to the admissions office I got a response saying that I won't be considered this year because I won't be finishing my degree by June(?). Does this mean I would be considered as an undergraduate applicant (she might have misread my email)? The website was very vague as well. Any insights please? Thank you
Perpetual student
Based on what I have read, you can only apply if you are in your last year of PhD. If you do not plan on finishing by June 30th 2021, you are ineligible.
Psych
From their website: "A graduate applicant is defined as a candidate who is in pursuit or has completed their Master’s or PhD degree(s)" so yes, you definitely are a graduate applicant

metacarpal
You would be considered a graduate applicant if you were eligible to apply, but since you are ineligible (due to not being in the last year of your PhD) it doesn't make a practical difference. True, just wanted to clarify that a completed masters does make them a graduate applicant and not an undergraduate (which is what I interpreted as their question)
