ORPAS Reference Question

Hello! All of the schools I am applying to (Queen's, UWO, and U of T) have slightly different requirements for what they want the referees to speak about. Does this mean that my referees have to write different references for the each school or is it the same reference being sent to each school? Also, UWO's description indicates that it is a standard reference letter. Is this done on the CAF or is this something my referee would have to write in a word doc? Thank you!

Hello!

I didn't apply to UWO, but I did apply to U of T and Queen's OT last year. My references were the same for both applications, and they only had one form to fill out on ORPAS. From my understanding of the requirements for these 2 schools, they wanted one academic and one professional reference to speak to the same things - I.e. the forms they filled out were applicable to both schools. Hope this helps a bit!

Hi! On ORPAS there's a section called "Referees". There, you send out reference email requests to your chosen referees and they fill out the letter confidentially and then send it to the ORPAS system I believe! So it'll be the same referees for each school!
