"13. What will school be like if I’m married and/or have children?

(Todd H. on Kids) It is not easy, but med school is not easy even without kids. Having kids in medical school has its advantages: 1) you have enthusiastic volunteers on which to practice clinical skills (physical examination) techniques, 2) you are practically doing a residency in pediatrics, 3) you learn to live with minimal sleep, 4) you learn to use your time-management skills to their fullest extent, 5) you become an expert at dealing with unexpected circumstances, 6) you have sweet, adorable human beings in your life that you love with all your heart, and they reciprocate the feelings, which helps bring things into perspective and provide an emotional anchor."
