relaxer12
Does anyone know do these schools also accept Canadian permanent residents? (Not citizen) Thanks a bunch.
suziep100
1. It depends on the schools, but some schools specifically state CAnadian citizens 2. Also, Wake Forest considers Canadians as Internatinal students, and hence they don't accept applications from Canadians 3. Georgetown only interviews Canadians, but they don't actually accept ppl
GGGSaint
3. Georgetown only interviews Canadians, but they don't actually accept ppl I've been curious about policies like these (G-town is not the only one). I suppose it's just a $ grab for the most part. 19 int'l interviewed last year and 0 matriculated .

GGGSaint
It could mean that they were all rejected or some were accepted and chose not to attend. I suppose so. Just the odds of that happening for a couple of years in a row (specifically at G-town) is weird.
feelitburn
Anybody know if UCONN still gives canadians a tuition break after/at the 2nd year? I am interviewing there in a couple of weeks and would love to know how much this school could potentially chap my bum, if i'm lucky enough to get in. Moderate
I posted about this on another thread as well (before thinking about it). However, here is an update: Do you accept non-citizen applicants? No. However, we do accept applications from US permanent residents. This is from their MD admissions FAQ section. Could someone please update the list on page 1? I was excited about Albany and was even going to visit them this weekend (since I am in NY right now anyway). And then my dream was upset

Billbob
Are there any schools that look at Canadians who did undergrad in the US as an out of state or any Canadians as an out of state?

mymeddream
Just wondering if there are any American schools that accept Canadians but do not require Orgo or English? Almost all of the ones I looked at thus far require those 2 courses

Almost all of the ones I looked at thus far require those 2 courses Almost? Let us know which ones don't. Every single school requires Orgo + English in the US that accept int'l students. If someone knows better, help out please.

mlbn
I think as the cycle is coming to an end, it would be a good idea for us who applied last year to provide an updated list of schools, for next year's applicants' sake. I know that Albany and EVMS don't take Canadian's anymore. Maybe Law could make a new and updated list so it could be stickied?

That would be really helpful for people like me who are going to apply in the coming cycle.
TheRiverWhy
I'm pretty sure Wake Forest stopped accepting Canadians this year.
jawn_doe
How many schools do most people apply to in the states? 10? 20? 30? I have a 33O and around a 3.99 for AMCAS, I didn't get into Ontario this year so I'm applying to the US this summer.

emulgent
By Canadian, does it mean, studied in Canada? I was born in Florida. Does that get me any benefit?
The Law
FYI - At MSU CHM, in my current class, we have at least 7 Canadians (out of 200) that are matriculating. Pretty good representation I'd say.
