I'm an Ontario resident in 3rd yr undergraduate Schulich School of business studies. My GPA was OMSAS 3.88, best 2 years 3.9 and my MCAT scores were:

Physical Sciences: (10)

Verbal: (11)

Biological Sciences: (11)

Written Sample: (S)

I was waitlisted at Western :(

I was accepted by McMaster and Queens

I was waitlisted at UofT

This is my first time applying to this school.

Of all the schools I applied to, I'd like to attend Western as my first choice, but if not then Queens it is

I'm an Ontario resident with a hon. BSc. from YorkU in Kinesiology & Health Science:

MCAT was 10p, 11v, 11B, Q

I was waitlisted at Western

I was accepted at Queens and University of Calgary

Also good waitlisted at Ottawa

This was my 3rd go around in the Canadian Med School Applications saga

Western was my first choice, but at this point I'll take anything...it will most likely be Queens at this point.

The city of Windsor is the fourth most diverse community in Canada, only behind the major cities; Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. It has an especially large Arab community and Detroit is only a few minutes away. That might be something you want to consider.

SWOMEN

GPA: 3.93

MCAT: 11 vr, 11 bs, 10 ps, P.

Interview: I thought it went really well. I made the interviewers laugh a couple of times and they really liked the questions I asked at the end of the interview. The medical student seemed bored and uninterested at times but that may have been because I interviewed later in the day.

I will accepting Western's offer and will be attending class in Windsor, my hometown.

SWOMEN (from Windsor) with a B.Sc. in Chemistry with Honors from Wayne State University

MCAT was 12B, 9V, 11P, Q. cGPA was a 3.98, using the Western best two year formula I had a 4.00

Had plenty of volunteering, extracurriculars, two years of research, was captain of a varsity sports team, and a few other things

I will be attending Western at the London campus, which was my preference

Edit: I should add that I felt like I totally bombed the interview

What's wrong with Arab btw?

Who said there was?

International students make up 10% of the student population at the University of Windsor (1500-2000 students) so you'll definitely see Asians around your age on campus.

Windsor is a small city so it doesn't offer everything a bigger Canadian city would but being close to Detroit does help in that regard. For example, if you want to watch an NBA/MLB/NFL/NHL game, you could easily do so by just crossing the bridge.

Non-SWOMEN

GPA (best two): 3.99

MCAT: 10,11,11,Q = 32Q

Interviewed: Ottawa, Queen's, Western

Accepted: Queen's, Western (London campus).

Was my second time interviewing at Western and I thought it went infinitely better than last year. I had this feeling I had just punched my ticket when I left the interview room and was happy to see that it went as good as I thought it did. Be yourself and you'll get in. Sometimes it takes a few kicks at the can to get in so never ever quit.

I'll be seeing you all at Western in September.

First time applying. I've gotta say that the class of 2012 was super friendly and welcoming during the interview experience. Waiting with us outside of the interview rooms was a huge help in keeping me calm anyway. I would just like to say thank you for that!

I will be accepting Western.
