Title doesn't fit!

Hey guys,

 

What's the deal with the character/word limit on the referee's title? I can't even include one of my prof's departments in there! LOL it's too long! And what if a referee has two titles? (e.g. dept. chair for two separate departments?) What does one do in this situation?

Universities seem to have a habit of creating pretentious titles.

 

As long as whatever you enter reads logically and matches the reference letter, it really does not matter.

LOL YA that's exactly it! It's hillarious, because I can't fit the titles of any of my references. I'm going to have to abbreviate; I've even had to message my references to ask them to write it out LOL

In the grand scheme of things, your referee's title on the omsas application means nothing. Just abbreviate it. They'll likely use the full titles in the letters, anyhow.
