How are you killing time until the 13th

Recommended Posts

Wow I can't believe I actually made it to today, only one more day left. On a related note, it's my birthday today, any of you premed101ers want to celebrate it with me down in NYC? :)

Happy Birthday! 9 hour drive there, 5 hours celebrating, 9 hours back should kill all the remaining time. :D

Lol no worries. I went to a pub 2 nights ago in Hoboken and the guy couldn't find my birthday on my Ontario drivers licence so he just let me in anyways lol

Which would have been awesome if you weren't 21 :P Happy birthday!!

Thanks :D

Having lived in Quebec for four years I find it very odd when I'm back home in Ontario and constantly get ID'd. In four years never got ID'd once, just goes to show the differences in enforcement.

Couldn't agree more. You get away with a student ID (or nothing) pretty much anywhere in Montreal, whereas I need two government issued IDs to get into the casino back home and they are SUPER strict about that.

I rarely get ID'd in Ontario. I was pretty surprised when I didn't get checked on my 19th birthday.

I live in Ontario and I'd say I get ID'd about 50% of the time. My friends with coarse facial hair never seem to. When I lived in Vancouver I always got ID'd when going into a bar, ordering a drink at a restaurant, or buying alcohol from a store. Usually two pieces, too. That was surprising.

Also, while I'm >21yo now, I'd always buy beer or order drinks in the US when I was underage. They'd often never know where the birthday on my drivers licence was so I'd get away with it because they didn't want to look like idiots by asking or looking for too long. :P

Anyone staying up want to head over to the FlashChat (top-right hand corner of the website)? :P Could be fun to discuss things more real-time tonight/tomorrow morning.

TIL We have FlashChat. I'll log on in the morning if anyone wants to panic with me :P
