Chromosome
Is there a program or something where we can donate our MCAT books to people who require financial assistance from the AAMC to take the MCAT (or something like that)? Not sure if anyone has had experience with that/if it even exists...I just realistically can't get much for my books and would rather give them to someone who could actually benefit from them but who can't afford to buy them (I can't imagine having to take the MCAT without these books). jebelali
I tried replying to some threads and posted here. I have so many and would love to donate them as well.
next.med88
Since I wasn't able to sell mine, I donated mine to the Children's Hospital Book Market (I don't know if this is just a winnipeg thing or not). They collect books of any sorts and sells them about four times a year in a popular shopping mall. They sell the book for pretty cheap, so you are helping not only a fellow student, but the children's hospital as well. This is how I found a verbal reasoning prep book that ended really helping me. MSWschnoodle
I would contact Boys and Girls Club or other community programs that serve youth from lower-income families. If a worker has a particular youth in need they will probably jump at the chance to take them off your hands. That's a really nice idea!
