Hi Everyone!

I'm wondering if anyone has tips for preparing for the anatomy course required for MOT programs (I plan to go to Western). I completed anatomy during my undergraduate degree, but all exams were open book and assignments allowed multiple attempts. I know that this won't be the case in OT school, so I'm wondering, how can I prepare over the summer for the anatomy course I will have to take?

I think there is only one anatomy course for most OT programs. From my understanding OT isn't that heavily based on anatomy correct me if I am wrong? I was told that the anatomy course is open book and more for you to understand rather than memorize (for Manitoba's program)

I am not currently preparing.

I've been using sites like Kenhub/Khan Academy and have been really struggling. Do you think this is a sign that I'm not cut out for the program?

Not at all! Kenhub is just one way to learn anatomy, and just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean you're not cut out for the program. And I agree with OT1996 that OT isnt as heavily anatomy based as PT anyways. Dont worry:)

Thanks for all of your feedback/support! Can anyone speak to what Western’s anatomy class is like? I know a 65% is required to pass for OT students.

I don't have any specific info for you, but I will say that if you achieved highly enough to get into an OT program, you will be able to pass OT classes! Don't dwell on it.
