PreMed1234567
Just got my MCAT marks back, and got a 127/127/129/130. A little annoyed with my performance in the first two sections but at least they have met the cut offs from 2019-2020. Should I retake the MCAT next summer just in case CARS goes back up to 128 or C/P goes to it? Do you think C/P and CARS will raise for 2020-2021? Thanks

You wont rewrite this cycle so just apply and see what happens. I knew applicants that applied with 1 below the previous year score and it dropped the year they applied and they got an II or even an A so just apply and see
pigeon34
You should absolutely apply. I would not rewrite that score. Worst case scenario just write next summer or after interview invites come out. What if you re-write and your CARS score dropped to 126? Or stayed the same? There's no point in rushing to re-write now, your score is great!
paffy
I am wondering the same, 125/130/128/132 mcat. Is there a chance the C/P cutoff drops from 126 to 125? Or is application a waste of time

These are the cut-offs for C/P in each year (missing 2016-2017 but I don't think it was a 125 unfortunately) 2015-2016 = 127 2016-2017 = ? 2017-2018 = 126 2018-2019 = 126 2019-2020 = 127 You can see it gets kind of close to 125 with the back-to-back 126 in 2018 and 2019, but ultimately it'll be up to you whether you have the time to write the essays or the finances for the extra application fee. Your other sections are amazing though and you should be proud, especially the 130 in CARS! I originally had a 125 in C/P as well, and I was able to raise it to a 129 with lots of practise problems and addressing my weak points in chem/physics. C/P was my weakest point and by the end of another re-write I actually liked that section the best. If you do choose to re-write, it is definitely possible to raise C/P. Good luck with what you choose to do!

Unfortunately I had absolutely zero physics background and my actual exam c/p section was very very physics heavy which definitely contributed to my lopsided score, quite a weird spread.
