I'm late to the party but finally made an account for this.

Applicant type: MD

TIME STAMP: 11:24AM EST (Thurs Feb 24)

Interview Date: March 13 1pm EST

Result: Interview Invite

GPA: cGPA: 3.94, UofT wGPA: 3.96 (I think)

MCAT: Meets cutoffs but pretty bad lol (504: 125/125/126/128)

ECs: filled all 32 ABS entries with a variety of things, lots of student government, board member and committee chair on a couple of non-profits, large focus on equity & inclusion (working with Indigenous peoples and non-binary + female youth in particular). One research entry for summer research position + scholarship + poster presentation + 2nd author pub on the way (but not published yet), a few random interesting things in Other (occasional writer for newspapers, features on the radio, organized rally for affordable education). Some short-term employment that's health-care related, TA for 3 courses as an undergrad, volunteered at a hospital for 3 years.

Essays: started thinking about them since the prompts were released and wrote/edited them in about 3 weeks during September. Got a family member who's a good writer to help with editing. Spoke to my unique experiences and very strong imo.

Year: 4th yr UG (graduating in June)

Geography: Ontario

Hi there,

Anyone else still waiting for communication from U of T Admissions? I'm assuming it's an R at this point, but I thought I would have heard back by now!

I am too and I had the same thought. I don’t have high hopes but I don’t really understand making us wait so long for the R!

Super late, but made an account to post for my fellow low GPA (by UofT standards) undergrad applicants. (Also hoping to find other people that also got interviews with sub-3.9 wGPAs)!

Applicant type: MD

TIME STAMP: 11:24 EST

Interview Date: March 13

Result: Invite

GPA: 3.89 wGPA

MCAT: met cutoffs

ECs: lots of volunteering with vulnerable populations, kinda productive research (one 3rd author pub, few poster presentations), working in a health-related industry

Essays: Spent the day before the deadline on them since I thought I had no chance at UofT lol

Year: Graduated UG in 2020, working since then

Tbh I am worried that my (likely) poor pre-interview score will hurt my chances a lot!

Does anyone know if OMSAS gets updated at midnight for Toronto or do we get emails in the morning?

OMSAS did not update for me at midnight (for UofT). It didn't update until later in the morning. I got the acceptance e-mail first, and then OMSAS updated.

Best of luck everyone.
