*** Official 2009-10 Interview Invite Thread for US Schools ***

Ya I had a request a while ago. Still waiting to hear about an interview. I wonder what the review time is like for them.

I'm also in the "mayo LOR request" pile, which makes me feel super honoured as well. I think our chances are something like 1 in 3 of getting an interview at this point.

it was probably a wise decision not to apply to CCLCM because it's a very competitive program and applying to it WILL DELAY your case invite if you got one. i.e. the regular MD program at Case might have already made a decision to invite you but will not send you the invite in order to wait for the CCLCM's decision (so you won't travel twice).. and this year in particular the CCLCM processing is going to be slow. Now some people have already heard from CCLCM and Case but it seems kind of sporadic.. so while this doesn't affect your Case invite.. it will affect the time you get it, hence you will only be able to schedule a later interview..

ugh I shouldn't have applied to both....but I had extensive research experience so I thought CCLCM may be better option for me...

Is it weird that I'm already feeling discouraged? haha. I had similar submission dates to Rach but nothing positive yet and a Mayo rejection.

I have only heard back from one school too so it's still too early! Let's hope we get lots of good news in the next few weeks!

In the Case status page..if you're complete, but they haven't notified you of changes other than that...your correspendence would be BLANK right?

yes. they will email you to notify you of any status changes (interview invite or rejection); but if you are put on hold, it will only show up in the correspondence on your status page and you will not get an email
