Has anyone heard from FIU? Seems I'm on hold (damn them, I actually have Florida ties)! I wonder if they are one of those schools that advertises that they accept Canadian students but doesn't actually.

Florida has a lot of med schools but only FIU allows international applicants. The school is brand new and going into their second year so we have no data about the # of internationals they interviewed last year.

Apart from a few stat-whore schools, I really think that a good PS and compelling experiences will get your foot in the door more than stats ever could. Hopefully that's true!
