2 days away? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say first offers will probably be out in ~48 hours . I hate waiting! A little birdy told me that the admissions committee is meeting today to discuss final acceptances/waitlists/rejections for Friday. Woooooo. Wouldn't be surprised if everyone IP who isn't accepted is waitlisted as theres only going to be ~30-40 people not accepted right off the bat and I've heard the waitlist is usually ~ 30 people.

yeah it's insane! With odds like that, I find I'm mostly worrying about getting accepted to Regina campus instead of my preferred campus of Saskatoon. Saskatoon = yesss!! Regina/waitlist = ehhhhh..... yay I guess.. complete rejection: ok cool I`ll just try again next year!

Good gracious those numbers are insanity. Did you subtract the # of applicants that failed the interview? That would change things even more

haha wow i completely forgot about the post interview cut. did they actually do that? they couldn't have. if they did the same 30% cut as oop, it'd be ~91 people for 90 seats. and since at least 1 will be leaving to go to another med school, that's 100%.

Yes they only cut the bottom ~13% for IP (out of 138). I believe that means 120 IP applicants remain after the interview rejections went out. So its quite likely all IP not accepted will be wait listed.

ugh. i get when the pool is only 50-60 that you keep silent about position, but it was almost doubled this year. upper 50% vs bottom 50% would have been nice to know.

For some reason I thought they would mention which third you are on the waitlist (start/middle/end)..guess not.

 

Also there was no information about when they will start to notify people on the waitlist should spots become available.

 

For anyone who has been accepted (first congrats!) up to what date do you have to confirm your acceptance?

i don't think so. i mean you're free to, but they do say explicitly that no further information on position will be given.
