Fair enough. I'm applying to UBC to see if I can get in there, however I wanted to keep my options open. I guess I'l have to rewrite MCAT...

Are you OOP or IP for UBC? I'm assuming OOP as you use GPA metric, I think you have a decent shot at getting an interview - it will depend on how you luck out with your NAQ score evaluation.

Hi Gohan,

I am actually an IP applicant. UBC is my best shot, but I feel uneasy applying to only one school. Then again, I don't have much of a choice in terms of Canadian schools. My UBC GPA is a little over 88%.

Thanks Gohan. Are these high-tier DO schools? I heard PCOM is really good, however I'm not sure if they're Canadian friendly. If I am going to pay that kind of money I would like to go to a top DO school.

Thank you and everyone else again for your expertise.

There aren't really tiers. The schools that take Canadians are all fairly good. Mu-com while newer, is an amazing school and kcu is one of the oldest and very strong. Lmu is cheap and in a rural area so cost of living is low, still a fine school.

As for "paying that kinda money" welcome to US medical school admissions. Those schools below 50k for tuition are some of the cheapest you will find MD or DO(barring scholarships, which are really only on the MD side and for top applicants, which your 29 MCAT is unlikely but not impossible, to net you one).

A handful of the other Canadian friendly DO schools are in the low-mid 50s, and then the other 3-4 are high 50s, low 60s.
