Waitlist Movement

Anybody know how long it takes before the waitlist starts to move (or historically a year ago?) I asked a while ago but they said they didn't know yet.

I'm first tier of waitlist. So far I haven't heard anything. I asked around and most people said to expect 2-3 weeks after initial results come out. Are you on the waitlist? Can we keep each other posted?

That would be awesome! I'm going insane trying to figure out when they send out the waitlist offers.

First tier here too. Someone got in from second tier last year apparently. So, if history repeats itself, we are safe?

Oh man, are we all first tier? I heard of one person who isn't accepting the offer so at least one of us are in. I hear the general rule of thumb is first tier in, second tier 50/50, third tier no chance.

No one is ever safe.. since it really depends on the OOP students being declined at other schools.  IP rarely decline compared to the OOP students.

Lol, the keyword in my post was "if" ... also, arent there separate waiting lists for IP and OOP? (could be wrong)

I think OOP and IP waitlist are separated, since the OOP waitlist run out after only filled 4 seats last year, the rest 6 seats went to IP and Aboriginal. This year 26 OOP interviewed with MCAT 37 to 41 and aGPA 4.15+  will them fill 10 OOP seats? I doubt, they will stay in their own province or high ranked schools first just like last year. Some OOP waitlist at other schools will accept Manitoba and pay $500 deposit to secure their seats first in May or June, once they accepted to other schools from other schools' waitlist, they will withdraw their seats at Manitoba, this could happen in June, July, August even in Sep.

No, but they give us the total number of people of WL, which is 7 (or at least it was on June 1).

I'm on that list as well (part of 7). Does anybody know any additional info at all, such as the waiting list movement for OOP? Did anybody decline/accept? I know for sure IP waiting list is moving now though!

Got an OOP offer. It was dated last week. Will be rejecting. Good look for everyone else on the waitlist!

Pretty sure the 1st tier of the waitlist has already been exhausted. Someone who was on the 2nd tier found out about their acceptance in late June.

Can confirm that someone got in from second tier. It's more likely someone was lying about first tier.

Sorry for any confusion! My friends in first tier were accepted recently. I just was not aware
