medhopeful2
Hey guys, I'm having a hard time deciding if rewriting the mcat is something I should do. Currently sitting at a 130/127/130/130, and a 3.97 GPA. Never got an invite to Mac and queens this year, but did interview at Ottawa. I didn't really prep for Casper last year, and I feel that I have a lot better idea of how to structure my ABS. Would you suggest running with the 127 or try gutting out another MCAT before the application cycle this year . Thanks, and I appreciate any insight. mollypercocet
I know of someone (IP) who was accepted and interviewed at Ottawa and Mac with a 3.89 and a 126 CARS. Your score is fairly high. I would say work on Casper and your ABS. Although I think Queen's prefers a high CARS not 100% sure tho.
bruh
Considering Ontario, your MCAT is irrelevant to Ottawa, above cut off for UofT, most likely above Queen's cut offs. Your CARS score is below Western's cut off, and on the low end for Mac. However, with a good GPA and CASPer you definitely have a chance for Mac. I would only re-take it if you are very confident that you can at least score a 129 on CARS. If you're not consistently scoring that on your practice tests, I wouldn't retake it. itsmemario
I got into both Queens and UofT this cycle with a lower overall MCAT (same CARS) and similar GPA. Your ABS and the way you write it makes a huge difference.
cookacola
Don't re-write with that! I got into mac with a 127 cars and 3.94 cgpa, you could get an interview everywhere in ontario except western with that score and with your gpa. As the above said ^ at this point its about how you write your abs/essays/casper
