Speaking of IQ, I wrote the bubble test many years ago and attended the gifted program in elementary school. My IQ was two standard deviations higher than the mean.

Of course, this is no longer relevant.

You know i have seen a lot of people who were in such programs in elementary, and really aren't apart of those type of programs once the enter university or even high school. IQ is based on a lot of factors. Some of which include maturity, memory et cetra. Also cGPA or even GPA it self doesn't necessarily measure IQ. I really don't like the fact that you are being really arrogant and insist on showing off your G.P.A to prove your authority or superiority for that matter. I don't think you get why people are saying what they are saying. It's very much because of what i just stated. I don't think anyone here has anything against you personally and are willing to help, but i don't think anyone here appreciates such an attitude. Thus answering your question why the hate.

Just my two cents.

EDIT: seriously, why all the hate? If you've worked hard and have done well in university you should know that group studying is only effective when all members have the same level of preparedness and motivation is key. If not, self-studying may be a better use of time. Throughout my years, I can tell you that I (and probably many others) would never have been able to earn such a sexy GPA if we did not constantly surround ourselves with intelligent/motivated people.

I don't see any hate. I see people laughing at your expense. Understanding why would probably teach you way more than the MCAT ever will.

It's called humility. You'd do best to learn it.

This legitimately made my depressing day sooo much better!! Hahha peef, you're amazing :D

The best unintentional troll i've ever seen! Just for the record, to get a copy of your official transcript usually costs like 20 bucks... i don't think your newly found friendship is currently valued at that much :( Sorry peef.. its a tough market...

I don't go to York, my close friend does and I was speaking on her behalf. Someone was asking about a course she took so I though I would tell the OP what my friend told me.

Hmm not sure if I believe that. I think I need to see your official transcript as proof of registration at UT. Also so I can verify that you are a study buddy of high calibre, am starting to have my doubts.

YES! Like many other posters, this thread made my day!!!!

Seriously, plenty of very nice people have studied with all types of people for the mcat and have done exceedingly well. I know you`re doing your absolute best to fit into the cut-throat premed stereotype, but chill!

Just a side note...youre on a premed forum. We all know 3.91 is good, but we all have competitive gpa`s, that mark is by no means `sexy`. If you had so many friends who helped you get that megan fox gpa, why arent they helping you with your angelina jolie mcat? (Rhetorical question...feel the trend of the thread and youll figure out why :) ).

Thank you for making a wonderful thread in the midst of all the waitlist hum-drum.

(Y)!

In my first year at uoft i was warned about ppl from specialists like yours(such as LMP and pharmchem, etc) and told to stay away from you guys. I was told they were cutthroat little pixies out to get you and your gpa. They were wrong however. You guys are comics amongst us premeds.

**Transcript for proof**...I'm just waiting for you to say april fools.

So...the questions I have are:

Why >3.9 GPA? It is sort of an arbitrary cut off, don't you think? Oh, wait, it makes sense, peef's cGPA is 3.9 and he thinks that that puts him in the same category as 3.95 and 4.0 cGPA students.

And how about students with 3.89 cGPA? Are they eligible to apply for the admission to your study group?

What else... oh, what if some genius who would get a greater than 36 score on the MCAT was terribly sick one year and that adversely affected his cGPA? Well, you are missing out on some great MCAT help in this case.

There are just so many things wrong with your attitude towards "selecting" study buddies. FAIL.
