FiftyshadesofMD
Hey guys, I recently came to know that given the GPA conversions at UWO, my two best-year GPA is 87%. Given that my AA and RC both are 22 and an above average ABS (IMO though), is there a shot for me to get an interview invite this year ? Thank you guys and good luck Edited: Forgot to add, I've finished my UG.
c2j
I remember seeing on their last year report that the range was 84-94?
Crispy_Dorito
I am guessing that you will get an interview! Range of acceptances was 84-94, but I heard someone was interviewed with an 82 (could be wrong?). Keep in mind these people most likely had stellar ECs/statements 2-3 weeks and we'll find out. Good luck, witchyjojo

The wGPA cutoff for an interview this cycle was 3.7 (not sure what percentage that translate into edit: oops, sorry, i didn't notice you meant for the dental program
FiftyshadesofMD
I remember seeing on their last year report that the range was 84-94? True, but the thing is we don't know if those with lower GPAs are masters/PhDs. I'm kinda worried

SnowWhite
We were told that those with lower GPAs, made up for it with stellar EC'S and graduate degrees. But we obviously were not given details.

Vendar
How do you convert your GPA to a percent? Is it similar to the UBC scale?
SnowWhite
Hmm... I wish I could answer your question, but I don't want to make things up and provide misleading information. What we were told at the beginning of the year was that: if you had very high grades but average/not-so-stellar EC's, you still had a chance to receive an interview due to your academic success OR if you had a GPA on the lower side (>83%ish), but you had great EC's or a graduate degree, you had a shot at an interview due to your other accomplishments. If you were to guess, what would you vaguely consider as stellar ECs based on some of your classmates?

Thank you SnowWhite for your inputs. I was wondering if 87% is considered a lower-end GPA based on your class profile, based on your observation, if you don't mind me asking though
SnowWhite
Our class average was 90%, and the range of averages was 84-94%. So since your average falls in the range and is near the average, you are in a good position. But the final decision won't just be based on your average. So if you have some EC's that set you apart from other applicants, that would be helpful. Thank you SnowWhite for your inputs. andy_ac1992
If you get an interview just focus on killing it that's the largest factor imo. no point in dwelling on getting the interview or not it's a few weeks away just practice like you already got an invite

I'm just hoping to at least get an interview, once I do, I'll try my best to nail it !
