apache
Hard trance or classic trance radio. Or a song that matches my mood on autoplay (to mitigate the attention grabbing abilities of lyrics via habituation) I've been listening to a lot of our lady peace playlists recently, I always really liked rammstein, since it's rhythmic and a foreign language, I also listener to the red by chevelle n last night by Ian Carey for over 5 hrs each, it gets ur brain into that automaticity state, and if u can find music that gets ur brain firing in alpha state frequency you're set. ellorie
People keep telling me that Beethoven increases your memory, but I have to admit - I prefer to study to Carrie Underwood.

psychoswim
I usually don't like listening to music while studying (I prefer running movies I've already seen multiple times in the background lol), but one I enjoy is Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I love all their albums, and theirs is also the only Christmas music I can listen too hours on end.
bored
I adore movie themes. Transformers, Lotr, starwars, titanic.. but lately classical music works well for me..
apache
hey, if you guys are looking for music that actually gets your brain in a synchronized state conducive to studying, this is a real deal, you may or may or may not like the song, but gets your brain into alert concentrative state: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yIjduMN0TM
