Funny thing is the one midterm I wrote for this course was online. So I'm being given a final grade based on that one ONLINE midterm. My reason was because the original exam term ended April 24, so I made a commitment to start working on the 25th. Also, did you just submit the form or did you email the prof about it explaining your reason? Looks like he forgot and gave it away to a grad student from another lab. Then he said there basically isn't any work to do over the summer since he's using a bunch of vacation time. I am actually surprised when I witness the difference first hand (between people from upper middle class and lower). Luck plays a big part otherwise as well. myself, I don't have much of an appetite and I have a small frame. I really don't like people thinking they are awesome for not being overweight when it's just luck and they don't need to work to be thin/average.
