oh gosh you guys need to go out and get laid... brutal...

its ok guys... dont hate... COLLABORATE :P

I'm gonna go out downtown london and drink away my worries about may 15... Adam I know you are a Londoner... so I'll see you on Richmond Row? :P

and to all those who think I may have a thing for cling... thats gross... hes probably just one of those huge nerds who have to overcompensate for their lack of confidence outside of the internet world...

and no one needs to expose me... anyone who wants to know who I am thats fine I am not afraid to let ppl know who I am

hmm...if that's true why did you first start out by saying you're in mac kinesiology and are now saying you're in health sci...

another idea might be to not try and psychoanalyze people on a forum. cling has some narrow-minded views that border on the sublime but throwing around terms such as "nerd" and "lack of confidence" is pretty degrading

this isn't a grade 2 war. i don't recall there being sides to take. i do however take issue with a number of things, such as people who are not in health sci degrading the program & our evaluation methods, and spreading rumours about grade inflation with no evidence except for heresay / the opinion of an anonymous member on a forum who claims to be an ex-adcom. i also take issue with people who are hypocritical i.e. claim to present their "true self" yet send conflicting messages about what program they truly belong to, then respond to a debate in a very consdescending, degrading manner. there is no need for that. there is also no need to proclaim that just because one is a "health sci" (questionable) and from london that they have a ridiculously high chance at getting into western. i hope for missy 10's sake that is the case, but i would caution against making such predictions and suggest waiting until friday for the sake of not coming across as incredibly arrogant.

I'm a specialist at a med school in Ontario, and have done admissions at MAC many yrs ago, as well as my current school and at UofT when I was a med student. The OP asked for honest advice - I gave it to him/her. If he or she did not want to hear opinions that may not be encouraging to them, posting online with such an open question is not the best idea.

The simple fact is that based on information given, that person has no chance at any Canadian medical school. If marks improve alot, a chance at one or two schools in not unreasonable. But as a counceller, I would ask a person with such stats to not only look at other career options, but to actually reassess their own reasons for wanting to do medicine.

Fair enough! i stand corrected.

Wow! What an interesting and fun thread to read.

I remember this thread.

Gotta love how vehemently Mac HS students defend their program, which quite obviously inflates grades.

They still quote the argument, "In our intro organic class, the health sci students average was an A-, so naturally all our courses should have an A- average".

Never replied to my, "Our neuroscience specialist had an A average in PSL302 (C average course), yet our specialty specific courses hover around B-"

GRADE INFLATION BIYATCHES.
