EvanAlmighty
Really, don't most plans include Canada-wide minutes now Hahaha I won't go into details about my phone plan just in case the NSA is reading this.
EvanAlmighty
I just called and they said by end of today UWO just released theirs, so maybe Queens is holding off until that's done. You rock bud.
Der Kaiser
I hope I get an invite again. Otherwise this will go down as the day of rejections (1 from UWO (presumably, cutoffs not met) and 1 from Ottawa).
Savac
I haven't heard anything from Queen's yet, so I assume that they rejected me pre-interview again. I'm not too surprised though. Congrats to everyone receiving good news!

Der Kaiser
Looks like I may have been rejected. I wonder if they put BS up to 11. This was supposed to be my winning year with a vastly improved gpa and ECs, and then the WS disappears and competitiveness goes up. Who would have thought. I guess it's either Calgary or the US (I have an acceptance at MUCOM in Indianapolis).

daftjustice
Have rejections also been sent out or are people assuming that since they haven't received an invite by now that that's they've been rejected?

silenceofthelambs
Given that the emails don't show large variation with timestamp like Western did it's a fair assumption.
RecentlyExcited
Isnt queens a "Cutoff" based school for interviews? "How much emphasis is placed on academic and how much on extracurricular activities? Applicants are assessed in sequential steps. The first steps are based on academic requirements - the GPA and MCAT scores. Applicants who successfully make these cuts are invited for an interview and their academic marks are no longer considered in the admission process. Those applicants are then assessed based on personal experiences and personal characteristics through an interview." So, if you have a GPA/MCAT that is higher than some of the ones posted on the forum. Shouldn't one get have gotten an interview as well Just wondering because i had a 3.80 CGPA, 3.91 Last 2 GPA, and 35 MCAT 13/11/11 S I had exact same stats but with a 34 MCAT (12/11/11). I think after you make cutoffs they look at your reference letters and your ABS.

I 100% guarantee it.
Rwethereyet
Assuming... Was really hopeful for this year. Good ECs, masters and pub, two year > 3.8, but MCAT BS at 10 (everything else above traditional cutoffs). Guess that's all she wrote from OMSAS. jfdes
Maybe they upped the PS score? My MCAT was 10/13/12 PS/VR/BS, and I still haven't heard back. Although I recently found out that taking less than 10 full credits in a year really screws you over, so that may factor in as well
Savac
Perhaps they upped the PS cutoff, but my rejection (assuming it is one) would be based on my ECs. I have a 14 in PS
Rwethereyet
Still a possibility they're doing it in waves? Last year I got my rejection the same time invites went out. And not too many responders in the STAT thread.
daftjustice
Just got an invite! I wouldn't worry too much. It's possible that not everyone receives an email at once. Imagine sending out several hundred emails at once.

Der Kaiser
I'm pretty sure it is BS 11 now. Med schools like BS better than PS and VR better than BS for admissions purposes. Plus, the number of applicants has gone up this year, so BS becomes a more reasonable option for lowering the applicant #. I can't believe my only invite is OOP and at a place I almost did not apply to.
Tdot2014
I have 11-10-14 and haven't heard. No idea what they did differently this year. Hopefully they are sending more waves and not silently rejecting.

I just got an invite with a BS of 10 Edit: But I'm a grad student so I don't know if that gives me leniency with the MCAT. 13 VR and 12 PS were the scores on the other 2 sections.
