Can anyone rank the difficulty of the following courses? (I only want to take courses that are A+ plausible)

Kine 2011 (Human Physiology I), Kine 2031 (Anatomy), Biol 2020 (Biochemistry) , Biol 2021 (Cell Biology) , Biol 2040 (Genetics)

Thanks :) I'm trying to decide which courses to take and I don't have room for all of them in one year.

kine 2011 < biol 2040 and biol 2020 < biol 2021

haven't taken anatomy

So I was looking at courses for next year and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on any of these upper year kine courses (want an A/A+!)

KINE 4230 Neuronal Development for activity and health

KINE 4448 Advanced Human Physiology: Endocinology

KINE 4500 Neural Control of Movement

KINE 4505 Neurophysiology of Movement in Health and Disease

KINE 4515 Stem Cells: Physiology and Therapeutic Applications (heard this one was hard)

KINE 4516 Mitochondria in Health and Disease

KINE 4518 Molecular Basis of Selected Diseases

There's a lot of the neurophys ones...which is most interesting/easiest?

Thanks!

its york.. how hard could it be?

Out of curiousity, when you took the course (in summer/F-W)? what was the class avg? what grade did you obtain?

If you obtained A/A+, then what were your study habits? I'm thinking reviewing the lecture material the day you receive it, then hopefully practise chapter problems

:P But I've heard from everyone that it is extremely difficult in the summer, No bell curves, People from U of T/McMaster come here for Orgo and barely pass.. etc.

But people from uoft and mac may not be that smart :)

If you have the time, then why not give it a try. and if you start to blunter, then drop it and do it in the year?

trust me, its not that bad of a course.

what about this plan? I'll go to all of the orgo lectures this summer, pretend I'm taking the course, do the work (no access to moodle though but I'll ask the prof. for permission) and then take it during F/W term? :D

Not sure if the prof would give you permission for that, but you will eventually get lazy and not end up going to the classes.

you can try though :)

UdeM too has it, usually, it's for marks between 40 and 50, and it gives a 0.5, but it's still a failure.

So I decided to take bio1000 this summer for ****s and giggles. Its with Nicole Nivillac.

Does anyone have and study tips in terms of what to focus on?

She was pretty cool for biol1000~ make sure you print out the slides and memorize those (last summer she put alot of the notes on the slides), and some of the clicker qs were on the tests. But the tests on whole are not difficult~ she will probably explain that as she goes through some of the content. And ya, I forgot if she put practice tests, but they are a good overview of what your test will be like ( she doesn't dig deep into details). Anyways thats just my perspective~
