FM interviews - open vs. closed file?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if we could make a running list of which schools have open vs. closed file interviews? I'm having a hard time keeping track and would appreciate input from others! Here's what I've gathered so far:

UofT: closed file - interviewers will only know your name and school
McMaster: MMI; anecdotally one station will have access to your CV but I don't have info from an official source

Did anyone do the UBC asynchronous practice link? They give you 7 min to respond to your favourite colour. I can't even drag that beyond 30 seconds. I mean it's not that deep.

Yeah, lol, not exactly a real practice scenario. I assume the real questions will afford some actual substance.

Has anyone done UBC fam med MMI yet? Would appreciate any tips on how to prepare!

The Mock Practice MMI is useful—it helps you get used to the software and makes sure your system doesn’t have any technical issues.

Have lots of practice talking into the camera.
