How is it that people are hearing their waitlist ranking for Mac OT? I know I’m on the waitlist but they never replied to me with my ranking. Does anyone also know how likely it is to get into western from the middle third of the waitlist? Congrats to everyone who’s gotten in so far!! Trying to keep my hopes up for some waitlist movement

I’m in the middle section of the top third for western and they said there’s still a good handful of people ahead of me.

For those who accepted the offer from UofA PT class 2025, if I am going to create a group chat, anyone would be interested in? Do you prefer to be connected by facebook group, whatsApp or Discord?

Thank you and looking forward to seeing my classmates soon

Hey, just wondering if a facebook group was made?

Hi everyone!

I previously provisionally accepted Western and came off the waitlist at Mac for PT. I am a bit unsure as to which program to attend and am quite torn between the two. I was wondering if anyone has any insights and advice that they would be willing to share? I understand that I am extremely fortunate to have been accepted at these programs. Any information is be greatly appreciated!

Well western does things through more of a traditional sense like UofT, basically learning in a classroom whereas Mac does PBL which is very interactive, they basically throw you into situations as their learning style. It’s an active style of learning where you learn through experiences. Heard mixed things about PBL, a lot of people have told me they hated the learning style of PBL and prefer a classroom setting but I’ve also heard from some that they ended up enjoying the differences from traditional learning, to each their own!

congrats on your acceptances also!

Anyone here in OT at uOttawa? If so, is there a group chat? Thanks :)

I haven't seen anyone mention one on here yet. I'm still hoping to maybe hear back for physio, but I just got into OT at Ottawa! Do you know anything about the usual level of French of students there? There's not a ton of information online about their OT program! :-(
