2021 UCalgary Interview Invites/Regrets

Starting the thread for the 2021 applications cycle.

Does anyone know when the application ratings will be coming out?

Not for a while I’m pretty sure. End of January I believe.

Considering that file review hasn’t even started yet I would not hold my breath until the date rolls around

File review hasn’t started yet? Where’d you get that info? If that’s the case then things must be really busy at the admissions office.

The most recent post on their admissions blog from Oct. 3 said that they'll update us on how many applications they're sending out for full review but they haven't posted anything since

Still no updates on the blog since that Oct. 3rd post. They must have started by now, no? I'm guessing T-1 month (ish) until invites.

I would assume they're almost done and just forgot to update the blog or something! I'd be a little concerned for them if they haven't started yet haha

  The doubt and uncertainty is definitely creeping in   I am eager for decisions to come out regardless though

I’m nervous and excited. Feels like the wait is taking forever!!! I keep wondering how they are able to process over 2000 applicants ... how much time do they spend on each one? How many do they review a day? I wonder if mine sticks out enough... So many thoughts! Haha.

Did anyone's app status get changed to "awaiting decision"? Someone commented on the most recent blog post that this status has appeared for some people....

I’m diving into my school work to keep busy

Aside from work (I graduated in June), I'm trying to get lots of exercise/work on quickening my running pace, still learning to love the online volunteering format (lol), aaand baking an unhealthy amount of cookies/treats   How about you?

Congrats I graduate in June as well!  I've just been trying to hunker down and focus on all my classes. Playing lots of video games in my down time to keep my mind busy!

Is it like a sort of rolling email, or does everybody get an email on the same day?

@Goldie I am also just checking non-stop. I really hope they come out today because I don't know if I can do another 2 days of this (also my productivity can't continue like this haha)

I am a first time applicant and I'm really hoping they send the invites out soon. I don't want to keep rethinking and doubting my application until Friday lol
