you look nothing like a greek, that's a disgrace to greek ppl! hahaha

SCARY....Craigs list killer..

Police say Markoff is a second-year medical student at Boston University. They did not release a motive for the alleged attacks.

Police believe Markoff is responsible for the murder of Julissa Brisman, 26, who was found shot to death at the Marriott Copley Hotel in Boston Tuesday night. Markoff is also a suspect in two attempted robberies at luxury hotels in downtown Boston, and at a Holiday Inn in Rhode Island.

A woman held at gunpoint at the Holiday Inn told police she believed the crime was similar Brisman's murder case, which prompted them to start investigating the possibility of a connection.

"The victim did make some indication that this is like what happened in Boston," said Warwick police Col. Stephen McCartney. "So that raised our antennas."

Man, I interviewed at BUSM. That's crazy.

Kinda weakens the "med schools do interview to weed out the crazy ones" thing I've been hearing. Wonder what caused that.

I think he was basically soliciting prostitutes (aka "masseuses") off of Craigslist and robbing them. I guess paying BUSM tuition is quite a challenge...lol.

I love how they say the Holiday Inn is not a luxury hotel, LoL

The fiance is totally desperate and pathetic. There is not a good chance he will make that August wedding.

Well, I wouldn't say she is being desperate or pathetic considering that her entire world has just been flipped upside down. Being that close to a person, you have to give them the benefit of the doubt (I'm sure she really wants to do that). I think this is a pretty natural response - she loves him and wants to defend him.

Anyway, he hasn't been found guilty yet, so until then, "innocent until proven guilty." Although, there seems to be quite a bit of compelling evidence against him.

As for interviews weeding people out, I'm sure many of us meet people with criminal backgrounds on a daily basis and have absolutely no idea about it.

It turns out that he had a lot of gambling debts. When he was arrested he had $1000 on him and was on his way to a casino.

Oh dear, it looks like he was really into gambling. Also, the killing personality does not show itself for most people until their 20s. This is a sad, sad case.

Definitely not the first person that would come to my mind for being the craigslist killer!

This is strange, yesterday, I decided that I must keep up with current affairs re: MCAT...first story I read is about the craig list stalker etc...hmm...

Nevertheless, I do feel sad for his girlfriend, parents etc..and close friends, if he truly is the murderer...because somehow,he was living a double life, and they did not know him...

Perhaps I overreacted in calling her pathetic..but I found it strange that she supposidly called a radio station or something to say that he is a wonderful person....but then again, I have never been in her position...and if it is him, he fooled alot of people....and highly intelligent people...who are probably in disbelief.

and as you say, Law, innocent til proven guilty....ironically I do find it hard to believe that a med student would be capable of this...supposed to have a genuine interest in the well being of others..

Why would he enter medical school etc....if his mind was such...he needs a shrink urgently...

Yeah exactly - one moment she thinks she is marrying a nice person and has a solid shot at the "American Dream", the next she finds out she was about to marry a serial killer. That has to mess you up!
