Something on my mind, I hope Eugenie beats Maria in the finals! I usually hate watching Maria's games but I think I will make an exception this time.

What do you make of Murray vs Nadal?

On an unrelated note: Does anyone have any experience printing off t-shirts with a custom design?

i think nadal has got this.

anyone think federer still has a grand slam left in him?

I swear federer always does the backhand slice every time there is a high bounce backhand shot. I do not think federer still has a grand slam left especially with all these younger ppl playing.

Worrying about my friends in Moncton tonight. Shooter is on the loose, 3 officers dead, 2 more injured. I hope they get the shooter soon. Stuff like this just doesn't happen in the Maritimes. It hits us all. :(

Although you may be correct in theory, it is difficult to change human behavior in general, and to change the approach of our membership in particular.

Haha call me an idealist ;). Although I mentioned it here just because it was on my mind. No crusade! Otherwise, I would post on the actual pointless threads lol

My motivation to study for MCAT is very low right now. Started studying in 1st week of May and haven't gotten through Bio yet. Chem and Physics to go...plus practice for VR.

Argh, I regret putting half assed effort last year. :( But the same thing is happening this year. :o

I feel your pain mate. Motivation doesn't come easily for me either. Good luck on your studying!

Btw, You a Sens fan?

Haha, yeah, especially since I'm on my pharmacy rotation right now...and get too tired after my shift to study boring stuff like Gen Chem and Physics.

Yes, I am a huge Sens fan! :D

I remember I was doing a 50+hr/week research job and had to study for the MCAT. I kept telling myself that if I put in the work, I would NEVER have to do it again. To be honest, that was the only thing that motivated me to study.

Great way to look at it. You can half ass it and then half ass it 2 or 3 times, or you can do it all once.

I do not recommend doing any sport as a first date unless you two are already good at the sport.

I do not think anything that can be really opinionated is a good first date (no art gallery, sporting events, friend's music event, etc)

In my mind I think a first date should be about knowing each other, but if it is someone who I see often I think it would be easier to know them as a friend first (kind of like pre-screening).

edit: off topic

I think it is important for you to realize what is important in your life. I know that change can be hard at times but I feel that there are situations that need to be changed for the better. Recently I decided to remove a number of close people out of my life.

I also feel that life is short and you should do what you enjoy. For example I know that a number of my friends in accounting & finance are not enjoying their lives. I have come to admire small business owners who are doing something that they enjoy.

Incorrect.

First date with a girl who has never done (indoor) rock climbing: genius. Get to "show her the ropes", relaxed environment, mostly one-on-one with plenty of opportunity for distraction or exits if things go badly... Also there may have been spandex involved. Just sayin'.

And yes, this has become my recommended go-to "first date". To be fair, I only go for sporty, outdoorsy types, so I am biased. :)

I hope technology can save us.

It will not save us as quickly as we want - it's the fallacy so many rely on when confronted by environmental change. As regards this and the other issues: Ours is a culture problem, not a technology problem.

Can you ask me out please? :P

No but seriously, it does sounds like a pretty fun date! Way better than some awkward/boring coffee dates i've had in the past!

The Montreal Gazette has interesting article about there are presently 278 doctors who opted out of Medicare out of a total of18,000+ physicians, of whom 201 are in family medicine. "Of the medical specialists who have opted out, most are dermatologists, psychiatrists and plastic surgeons."

^lol at that.

It seems like ppl do not respond to my emails, I am not impressed. I feel like these people are a-holes. Some of them it has been over a week and we spoke in person...

what is worse is that my emails are related to university and it is their job to assist incoming students. How many master students can there even be for them to assist?

edit: also some professors didn't even respond to my request to do research...(not impressed).

I'm with you on this one.

I was walking to the bank today and someone from "doctors with borders" stopped me to talk about it. I was all up for it until they asked for monthly donations and needed my bank info... Am I a bad person for just walking away?
