sdj78we9jtf2o3mgfvj298j
CARS: 129 GPA: 4.0 IP How do I prepare for Casper? Great chance. They have practice ethical questions online, you can practice those. Find a friend who you can practice questions with. Send each other question sets of 3 and learn to type good responses in 5 minutes. Some people read Doing Right.
daftypatty
10-11, still have to do well on it but you're not in a tough position. No reason to not prepare as well as you can regardless. https://www.aamc.org/students/download/434504/data/percentilenewmcat.pdf https://www.aamc.org/students/download/430684/data/finalpercentileranksfortheoldmcatexam.pdf 129 is a 12 . Edict
VR 12 GPA 3.26 OOP Is it even worth applying with such a low GPA? Probably not unfortunately. If its your only shot and it looks like it would be, I guess its worth it if you really want it but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Sanam
VR - 11 GPA - 3.80 Got killed by Casper last cycle, been reading doing right and have been reading up on current canadian medical issues. Any further tips?
NotASerialKiller
129 is a 12 . The sections on the old MCAT don't all have the same percentile rankings like they do on the new one. Look at the links in my post, 129 = 93rd percentile, which on VR puts you just below 11. A 129 on the others yes would translate to just below a 12 in PS or BS
DelightedPreMed
Hi folks. I do not currently live in Ontario but I did live there for more than 3 years (teens to early twenties). So I'm hoping this qualifies as IP. cGPA is 3.75 (maybe slightly higher if summer courses are not counted) CARS score is 132 Thanks so much! snakes&planes
They Z-score VR to only other VR scores and CARS to only other CARS scores. You can email for this information if you like. The sections on the old MCAT don't all have the same percentile rankings like they do on the new one. PeterPatting
how....that CARS score tho....for those unaware that's a perfect score so a 15VR lol...I had the exact same reaction. Anyone else notice that there has been a few 132 CARS scores posted on pm101 this cycle yet pre-MCAT2015 I didn't see a single 15 VR? I'm not speculating anything, just pointing out an observation

Anyone else notice that there has been a few 132 CARS scores posted on pm101 this cycle yet pre-MCAT2015 I didn't see a single 15 VR? I'm not speculating anything, just pointing out an observation There used to be less questions on the test. This meant that if X number of people scored 40/40 on the old test then a 15 was impossible and they would get a 14 where X is greater than the number of people that could possibly be in that percentile. 15 used to be 99.9% so lets say only 10 people per test could get that score and 11 people tied for the highest score (be it 40/40,39/40 38/40 etc) then there would be no 15 awarded in that test. With more questions those top scorers are further separated into 60/60 59/60 58/60 etc and can be further stratified.

run1
Got new CARS score: 3.72 GPA + 128 CARS (11 VR). In province. Finishing my graduate degree this year (so I guess it wont apply for the bonus). Finishing JD degree, so I hope that will help me write CASPER. What do you guys think? Tart
3.75 cGPA and 127 CARS (I don't know if this is a 9 or a 10 VR). 3rd year UG. Should I retake the MCAT? I scored a 516 overall with CARS as my lowest section so I'd rather not rewrite unless I have to.

xkittens
cGPA (OMSAS): 3.98 CARS: 127... i ended up scoring 518 total (97th percentile) I really have no idea how to interpret this cars score... what are my chances? Apparently it's somewhere between 9 and 10? Definitely give it a shot, you could land an interview if you do well on CASPER
_lonely_island
Going to give this a shot, might be a long stretch. Undergraduate cGPA (OMSAS): 3.3 Graduate cGPA (doing a 2 years course-based MPh, have marks from the first year): 3.82 CARS: 128 Not sure if it's worth applying to Mac, I might give U of T a shot though.
